Names: Gary Oak in the English version of the anime, game, and Ono's manga; Ookido Shigeru in the origional version of the anime, game, Ono's manga, and the Pokemon Zensho manga; Blue in the English version of the Pokemon Adventures manga; Green in the origional version of the Pokemon Special manga.

Known Pokemon: Arcanine, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Krabby, Doduo, Eevee, Umbreon, Blastoise, Magmar, Scizor, Golem, and possibly Hoothoot.

Known Family: In the anime, his only known family is his grandfather, Professor Oak. But in the games, Ono's manga, and the Pokemon Zensho manga, he also has a sister named May. According to Pokemon Zensho, his parents died in a car crash when he was a baby, and so Professor Oak raised he and May.

Facts: Gary is 5'4" with blue eyes and auburn hair; he has over 200 Pokemon; he was named after Shigeru Miyamoto, who was the creator of Mario and Zelda, and who also helped work on the Pokemon games.
