Magical Pokemon Journey

Magical Pokemon Journey, called PiPiPi in Japan, is a shojo manga. It's probably my favorite part of the entire Pokemon franchise, and there aren't any pages for it anywhere, so I decided to make one.
Rather than focusing around catching, battling and training Pokemon, this manga is about a girl named Hazel, who is trying to win the love of a boy named Almond, and she makes freinds with a lot of Pokemon along the way. There aren't really any bad guys or anything; most of the stories revolve around things like the characters going to a Christmas party and exchanging gifts, or going to the beach and entering a tanning contest.
I guess it's simplistic, but that's why I like it. It's just all cute and happy and fluffy, and it's also extremely funny at times, and the artwork is adorable. Here are some scans and a little info on the main characters and Pokemon in the story.

Hazel is the star of the story. She's way loopy, but she's also super sweet and bubbly and really good at making freinds with Pokemon. She's always willing to help out a Pokemon in need, and she can even understand Pokemon language! Her main motivation is her obsession with Almond.
Almond loves collecting Pokemon more than anything. He can seem kind of cynical and distant, and he's a bit freaked out by Hazel's extreme efforts to win his affection. But you can tell he has a kind heart because whenever Hazel is in trouble, he runs to help her. He also acts as a big brother figure to a lonely Squirtle who has formed an attachement to him.
Grandpa is kind of old and bitter and thinks way too much of himself! But he's also a really funny character. He's always staring at younger women and otherwise making trouble. He's the one making Hazel collect Pokemon for him so that he can do research on them.
Pikachu was Hazel's first Pokemon. You didn't think they could make Pikachu look any cuter, but they did! He doesn't like to fight, but he can let loose a strong thundershock if any of his freinds are in danger!
Clefairy is another one of Hazel's Pokemon. He can talk human language. He's really shy and has low self-esteem; whenever he feels bad about himself he minimizes.
Squirtle can also talk in human language. He's been around girls his whole life and is desperate to become "manly". He seems to have a crush on Almond, and tries to be just like him, following him everywhere and just generally worshipping him.
Jigglypuff is spoiled and rich. She's always cooking things that end up exploding! Whenever she gets mad, she puffs up to ten times her normal size. But overall she's pretty nice, and often invites the others to her house for parties.
Wigglytuff is a relative of Jigglypuff's, and lives in a mansion with her. She's also Arbok's girlfreind!
Arbok and his two Ekans freinds seemed kind of like bullies at first, but now they're freinds with all the others. Arbok fell in love with Wigglytuff and made her a big statue out of roses!
Coconut is a reseach scientist, but most of her experiments end up exploding! She's the grand-daughter of Grandpa. She's also in love with Almond! Needless to say, she and Hazel don't get along very well.
Eevee is Coconut's Pokemon. He's pretty smart, and practically worships Dr. Coconut. But poor Eevee is the one who always ends up getting hurt when the doctor's experiements and potions go wrong!
Peanut is kind of a sweet, shy, bumbling trainer. He also has a lot of health problems and is always coughing. But he can really come through if his Pokemon needs help.
Charmander is Peanut's Pokemon. He's super tough and can even seem a bit mean. He gets a little frustrated with Peanut's weakness, but he obviously really cares for his trainer. He also has a big crush on Eevee ^_^

Seasonshipping!

Seasonshipping is Hazel and Almond. It's my favorite ship after Palletshipping! Of course it's completely proven that Hazel is crazy about Almond. It also seems that deep down, Almond feels the same way. There are little hints throughout the story, such as the fact that he made her a Christmas present even though he didn't have to (he didn't get her name in the gift exchange), and when Pikachu accused him of staring at Hazel in her bathing suit he got all defensive and blushy and shy about it. He also doesn't seem to show any interst in any other girls, such as Coconut. The way the story is going, it seems highly likely that the two will get together in the end.
I suppose I support this ship so much because I think Hazel is such a sweet, funny character, and she deserves to get what she wants in the end! I guess I like Hazel so much because she doesn't have a bad temper or a controlling streak like any of the other main Pokemon girls. Even though I also love Jesse and Misty, a personality like Hazel's just appeals to me more. At least she's not always beating up on the man she loves! I also like how she's so forward about her feelings instead of hiding them behind insults or something. And she's not at all afraid to be nice, to anyone. So I'd really like to see these two get together!

Anyways I totally think everyone should read this manga. If you can't find it in your area, it's available on Amazon.com. Even though it's a girls' manga, I know a few guys who really like it, so I think it can be for everyone!
